Providing ongoing care and assistance to the residents in
a home setting by assisting in daily living activities while promoting choice
and integration within the community.
Praise:
There is a decent amount of down time, lots of perks such as going to events for free like ball games, movies, restaurants etc. Also the sense of helping someone out and knowing you make a difference in their lives or when they get excited to see you. Its a job full of surprises.
Stinkers:
Depending on what kind of population of consumers you are working with it can be harmful and hostile at times, shifts tend to be around 8hrs.
